Golden SMP runs on Hard difficulty. Outside the protected first-arrival area, survival includes hostile players as well as hostile mobs. Raiding, griefing, stealing, traps and PvP are allowed under the server rules.
Gather supplies, choose a place to settle, and save it with /sethome <name>. Keep spare equipment somewhere you are comfortable risking. A clan can give you people to work with, but friendship and location secrecy are choices you manage yourself.
Newcomer immunity and respawn protection are disabled in survival. Do not assume that joining recently or returning after death makes you temporarily invulnerable.
Graves hold your items and XP for recovery. Other players can loot your grave. Use /graves list to find your recorded graves and return through ordinary travel; the public grave commands do not provide a free teleport back.
Recover your belongings promptly. Pay attention to the grave's displayed information, and remember that the journey back may be dangerous. Use beds or charged respawn anchors to establish Minecraft respawn points, and keep /home locations for manual travel.
Looting a dead player is allowed. If a death or missing inventory seems caused by a server problem, use /report server <reason> with what happened, your edition and the approximate time.
Seventeen crop growth settings are increased to 135% of their vanilla modifiers, covering staple crops, melons, pumpkins, berries, nether wart, sugar cane, cactus, bamboo, kelp and other supported plants. Actual harvest time still depends on random ticks and growing conditions. Trees and decorative vines retain their normal settings.
AFK, autoclickers and freecam are allowed. Intentionally destructive lag machines and prohibited cheating are not. Ordinary farms still need suitable space, lighting, hydration and loaded chunks.
Take screenshots, note dates and credit collaborators. A build can remain part of the historical record even if it is later changed or destroyed. Record it in Builds, connect it to a Location, and explain significant changes in Events.
Staff can investigate a grief's cause, a rule violation or a server issue. Restoration and intervention are reserved for rule violations or server problems, rather than losses from permitted play.
Use /report <player|server> <reason> or visit Discord. Keep private evidence out of public wiki articles.
